About The Zarq
The Zarq is an independent technology blog that explains everyday tech problems in plain language. If your laptop is crawling, your phone storage is full, your Wi-Fi says “no internet” or you just want to understand what a passkey is, the goal here is simple: give you clear steps that work, without the fluff.
Who writes The Zarq
Hi, I’m Usama Karim, a web developer and the founder of a small web development agency that builds WordPress, Shopify and custom web projects for clients in several countries. I hold a BSIT degree from PMAS Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi, and I spend most of my working day around websites, servers, browsers and the devices people use to reach them.
Working on websites for clients means constantly dealing with the tech around them too: slow machines, flaky connections, locked accounts and confusing settings. The Zarq is where I write those fixes down properly so anyone can follow them.
What you will find here
- Windows & PC: speed, storage, overheating and the settings that actually matter.
- Mobile: iPhone and Android guides for storage, battery and performance.
- Internet & Wi-Fi: connection problems and home network basics.
- Security: practical account and device protection without the scare tactics.
- AI Tools: how to use chatbots and AI tools well, and where they go wrong.
- Coding: learning paths and practical guides for aspiring web developers.
How guides are written
Every guide is written for real people with real devices. Steps follow the current menus of Windows, iOS and Android as closely as possible, and where menus differ between phone makers, I say so. Articles are reviewed and updated when settings move or better fixes appear. You can read the full process on the Editorial Policy page.
The Zarq is supported by advertising. Ads never decide what gets written or recommended.
