When to use it
Sharing one page
Send only the relevant page of a bank statement or contract instead of the whole document.
Removing pages
Extract every page except the ones you do not want, for example 1-4, 6-end to drop page 5.
Breaking up big files
Split a large PDF into parts that fit under an email or upload limit.
Chapters and sections
Turn a long report or ebook you own into separate files per chapter.
How to write page ranges
Separate items with commas. A single number like 5 is one page. A range like 2-6 includes both ends. 8-end runs from page 8 to the last page. Spaces are ignored, so 1 – 3, 7 works too.
Extract or split: what is the difference?
Extract pages puts everything you typed into one new PDF, in that order. One PDF per range makes a separate file for each item you typed. Every page separately ignores the box and saves each page as its own file.
Common page range mistakes
Page numbers here are the position of the page in the file, which is not always the number printed on the page. A report with a cover and a contents page may print “1” on what is really page 3. Check the page count shown at the top and count from the first page of the file.
Ranges that overlap are allowed, so 1-3, 3-5 includes page 3 twice when extracting. That is useful for repeating a cover page, but remove the overlap if you did not mean it. Numbers bigger than the page count are rejected with a message rather than silently ignored.
Frequently asked questions
How do I extract one page from a PDF?
Add the PDF, type the page number in the Pages box, keep the mode on Extract pages and press Split and download.
How do I remove a page from a PDF?
Extract all the pages except that one. For example, to remove page 4 from a 10 page file, type 1-3, 5-10.
Is there a page limit?
There is no fixed limit. Very large PDFs depend on your device memory, so a phone may be slower than a computer.
Will the split pages lose quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, keeping text searchable and images at full quality.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Splitting happens inside your browser, so your document stays on your device.
Can I split a PDF on my phone?
Yes. Choose the file, type your pages and download. Several files arrive as a ZIP that your phone can open.
