Merge PDF
Combine several PDF files into one, in the order you choose. Runs in your browser, so documents stay private.
Your files never leave your device. Privacy
Applications, invoices and reports often need to be sent as a single PDF, but the parts usually arrive as separate files. This tool joins them into one document in the order you set, without sending your paperwork to anyone.

How merging works
The tool reads each PDF with an open source library called pdf-lib, copies every page into a new document in the order you chose, and saves the result. Because pages are copied rather than printed again, text, links and image quality are kept.
What about password protected PDFs?
Encrypted PDFs cannot be merged until the password protection is removed. Open the file in your PDF reader with the password, use Print to PDF or Save a copy without security, then add that copy here.
Tips for a tidy merged document
Name your files with a number at the start, such as 01-cv.pdf and 02-letter.pdf, before adding them; they are then easy to put in order. Put the most important document first, because many reviewers only skim the first pages.
If the merged file is too large for an upload limit, check whether one of the parts is a scanned document saved at a very high resolution. Re-scanning at 150 to 200 DPI usually keeps it readable at a fraction of the size. You can also split the merged file into smaller parts with our Split PDF tool.
Frequently asked questions
How do I combine PDF files into one?
Add the PDFs, put them in the order you want and press Merge and download. You get one PDF with all the pages.
Is it safe to merge confidential PDFs here?
Yes. The files are processed in your browser and never uploaded, so nobody else can see them.
Can I change the order of the pages inside a file?
This tool orders whole files. To pick specific pages, use Split PDF first to extract them, then merge the parts.
Does merging reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied exactly, so text stays searchable and images keep their original quality.
Why can my PDF not be read?
It may be password protected, damaged, or not a real PDF despite the file name. Remove the password or re-save the file from your PDF reader and try again.
Can I merge PDFs on my phone?
Yes. Use the arrow buttons to reorder files on touch screens, then merge and download.
